5th China International Steel Forum 2010

SteelGuru as official media partner is proud to present the 5th China International Steel Forum 2010 which is organized by Mysteel at the Rainbow Hotel, Shanghai, P R China on September 15-17, 2010.

The ups and downs of China’s steel sector ripple globally these days. The top global steelmaker exported 23.58 million tons of finished steel products in the first half of 2010, registering an astonishing jump of 152.3 percent over the last year. However, along with the all-year high trading figures, comes a disturbing combination of RMB revaluation, export rebate cut, slowdown in global recovery and rampant protectionisms, which, as most analysts believe, will bring harsh challenges to China’s steel exports in the second half of the year.

Rising to the challenges, China has vowed to promote economic restructuring through obsolete capacity elimination and industry-wide consolidation, once again demonstrating its resolve to rectify steel exports and steel industry at large.

This forum presents an unmissable opportunity for global delegates who wish to learn the firsthand developments in this economic restructuring campaign, and its influence over China’s steel trading. Is China going to give further curb to its steel exports? Will China’s steel exports continue to rise after domestic prices started to pick up in July? Answers to such intriguing questions can be found in insightful speeches given by senior Chinese government officials, analysts and industry elites from mills and traders alike.

Our four previous events, held in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 respectively, proved a successful series with the most recent one attracting some 400 delegates from home and abroad. Here delegates will be able to meet face-to-face with major Chinese steel mills and traders, who used to play hard-to-get but are now more anxious than ever to seek overseas partners. Other benefits from this annual event include:

Learn China government’s upcoming moves on steel export duties;
Gain experts' insights into China's steel sector;
Get familiar with the pattern of China’s steel exports;
Get a chance to promote your company image and display product mix to potential partners in the largest global steel market.
